The Rakoll® hot melt adhesives are thermoplastic, 100% solid adhesives that are heated to apply and then allowed to cool to provide a bond. They are filled or unfilled systems of EVAs (ethylene vinyl acetate), polyamides, polyolefins, or thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs). This global product line is designed to bond a wide range of materials for straight edges, soft forming, post forming, edge banding, profile wrapping, and general assembly applications.
The Rakoll® reactive hot melt adhesives are single-component, 100% solid fully reactive adhesives that cross-links through a chemical reaction with moisture found in the surrounding air and substrates to produce a thermoset bond. Across the globe, the Rakoll®-branded reactive hot melt adhesives provide end-users with high-quality and high- performance for edge banding, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), floor coating, engineered panels, profile wrapping, and general assembly applications.
The Rakoll® water-based adhesives use water as the carrier for application, then the bond forms as water evaporates and the adhesive dries. They typically consist of polyvinyl acetate (PVA), vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE), or pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) copolymerizations dispersed in water. This global water-based product line is ideal for sheet and veneer applications, solid wood, architectural wood, residential doors, engineered wood flooring (EWF), edge and face gluing, membrane press, general assembly, and waterproof bonding, with many products passing D3, D4, Type II, and Type I water resistance testing.
